I bought a 65” OLED LG a few months ago to replace a 60” LG plasma TV that was seven years old and starting to show artifacts. I’m happy with it for the most part. It’s a “smart” TV but I don’t connect it to my network but maybe every 60 days or so to get any updates that might be available.
Last time I connected it I tried messing with the built in applications for things like Netflix and was sorely disappointed, so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.
