Same song as Engineering Animation. They were hot and growing fast.
Shareholders forced them to fire the founders and hire "professional"
execs. Execs "Had to" move the oriface to NYC. "Professionals" sacked
the treasury. EA was bankrupt within a couple years. Common MBA song.

Boeing moved their HQ to Chiraq after the merger with McDonnell-
Douglas. The financial people (many MD holdovers) thought it was more
important to be in a business center like Chicago and closer to the East
Coast than close to the engineers and manufacturing in Washington and
California.
We can see how well that worked out.
