So the ratio of population, now versus then, is roughly

             676k + "balance"           750k
          ----------------------- ~=  ---------- =  10
            60k + estimated 15K          75k


and the ratio of food production,

           750k *  5%        3750 k%
         --------------- = ----------- = 1
            75k * 50%        3750 k%


So, the amount of food production now is roughly the same as it was then
and it has not grown as the population has grown.
