Thereabouts or slightly less. I've run one on a 400w Coleman brand DC/ac 
inverter.Plenty of people told me it couldn't be done. Those people are plain 
wrong, I preheated my '83 240D that way for 2 winters.

those will work better than nothing, but not as well as the in block 
heater.
