Best advice I can offer is, "IF in doubt, pump it out." The cost of pumping out the tank and disposal is small compared to trying to run a late model diesel truck on gasoline. If it is a computer controlled diesel with EPA systems, multiple sensors will take damage and all of the items are expensive to replace and repair costs far exceed just pumping out the tank.
Suggestion: Purchase a low pressure 12v fuel pump, fittings and polly line [ace hardware has it in bulk, it's a use one time and discard item anyway... Connect the aux 12v pump into the tank pickup tube and pump the offending fuel in to a suitable container. Refil tank with fresh diesel, change the fuel filter [s] and drive on.
