This is the pickup truck my neighbor has that got gasoline run in it last week.

He’s drained the fuel tank with a pump and refilled it with about 10 gallons of
fresh diesel. He replaced the fuel filter.

It’s got a lift pump in the fuel tank that should run when the key is turned
on. There is some sort of delay function on the lift pump that will allow it to
run 25 seconds if not cranked, then for 2 seconds with the key on after being
cranked if I understand the logic.

Doesn’t seem like he’s getting any action out of the lift pump. Doesn’t appear
to be a relay involved, just something called a TIPM, which appears to be an
ECU of some kind with relays embedded in it and other goodies.

Anyone familiar with this fuel system have any suggestions?

At this point it looks like he needs to determine if the lift pump has puked.
No codes being thrown, either.

Thanks!
