Oh so you can do it while the diff is on the car?  I guess I should look up the procedure but I doubt if I'm going to do it any time soon.

Pinion seals aren’t hard to do, it’s more of a PITA to drop the drive shaft to 
get to them.

Changed out the diff fluid on the $600E300. Was nasty. Was not hard to get the 
plugs out. Looks like the pinion seal is leaking. Looks like a PITA to get the 
diff dropped and out so I think I’ll just live with it. Diff seemed to be 
fairly full so I guess not too much has leaked.
