On a similar note, a caller in Limbaugh said her spouse worked in a now-closed meat packing plant. With these plants closed, the farmers have no place to deliver adult hogs, no place to keep them (need the space for new crop), and can't afford to feed them. So these hogs are being destroyed. Aside from lost productivity (despite all the costs) this creates a hole in the meat pipeline.
