Low level day for the most part. Bled the brake system on the E320 4Matic, so
that’s done. So, so easy with the pressure bleeder. Fronts are a little tough
with the wheels on as the bleeder screws face the inside of the wheel. Much
easier to do with the front wheels off, but I made it work without taking them
off.

E320 wagon had thrown another code a week ago, and I was afraid I was still
dealing the EGR. Seems that the left rear O2 sensor was out of band
occasionally. Ordered a replacement from the Island of Large Wimmen that came
two days early. Nice!

Got under the car after taking it for a drive so the exhaust was hot. Popped
loose with minimal effort (I love Florida cars!!!) and put the new one in and
torqued it down. Hopefully, that will make the brains happy again. While I had
the car in the air I removed the inner wheel well panel on the passenger side.
I’m convinced I have a vacuum leak in the ACC or PSE system I can’t trace down,
so I wanted to check the vacuum reservoir that’s located in this area to see if
it might be leaking. Found about 10 pounds of road detritus, like leaves and
dirt, and cleaned that out. The vacuum reservoir was good and passed a leak
test. Darn.

The rest of the day was spent working on a means of suspending the oldest boy’s
new “canoe” (I think it’s a kayak) from the garage ceiling for storage. Got
some properly rated rope, some swivel pulleys, and a couple of eye bolts to do
the job.

All in all, a pretty productive day.
