Classic deutchland still has the quarter. Since I received more money than
I paid for the car, I may just bring it home and cut the damaged parts off,
then see if it is feasible to splice new ones in. Damage does not involve
hatch or hatch opening; just completely smashed the tail light in and
creased the whole L rear fender.

There are a couple of other pieces inside the fender also with separate
part numbers.

I figure fender splicing may be easier than transplanting the motor to a
rust-free chassis (mainly because they dont exist). I also like this body,
because it has no sunroof, euro bumpers and an OEM trailer hitch.

Anyone ever cut a rear fender off a wagon?
