You might want to reconsider taking the paint off with the pressure washer. Is it lead paint? I was involved in a case where the painters had to re-landscape a whole yard because they stripped off old paint with a pressure washer and contaminated the whole area with lead.

Another "exciting" story from our trip. I hauled home Dad's pressure washer yesterday.
Its a Troy Bilt 2700psi with a 175cc Briggs "Commercial" engine on it.
As with everything that sits in my dad's shed I had to evict a mouse nest. Then
put new o-rings in the sprayer part. Amazingly my Harbor Freight o-ring set had
some to fit. Also amazingly a generic hose washer with some sil-glide brake
lube sealed nicely, no leaks on either side.
The engine obviously wasn't stored well, no fuel flow at all. I had to take the
gas line off and blow carb cleaner through the inlet. The needle was covered in
a tar like substance. I didn't know gas in anything could smell worse than from
an old snowmobile. I don't remember when he got the sprayer but I don't think
dad has ever run it, so its probably sat 5 years or more.
The dang thing is so safety-ficated it's terrible to work on, plastic covers over the
carb, no choke control "it's automatic!", no fuel shut off... I got it so it'll
pop if I squirt some carb cleaner into it but it won't stay going. Of course you have to
have water in the pump all the time which is a PITA. Tomorrow I'll see if I can come up
with a fuel shut off so I don't have to lose all the gas every time I do anything. I
think it's not flowing gas into the carb again.
Oh well, ideally I'll get it going and use it to take the paint off the house before we paint it in
July. Its got a variety of nozzles from "delicate" for things you don't want to ruin to
"sandblaster" for things you do...
