Exactly. I had a very important and expensive shipment from FedEx arriving at the Flagstaff house today. Because of automation I was able to see when it arrived, that the driver didn’t bounce it down the driveway, and that they followed the delivery instructions and placed the box inside the front door/vestibule where it’s out of sight.
Likewise, if the youngest son is away I want to know that the house is being properly heated/cooled to prevent any damage. Furthermore, I have a lot of nice and very expensive tools in my garage. I’ll know if any of the doors are opened, when, and by whom. I can also see the activity that’s taking place inside if necessary, too. I'm no gadget freak, but I have a substantial investment in my homes that I want to manage and protect.
