[MBZ] 76 240D HP & Torque specs?

I am looking at repowering my 68 Dodge M37 with a MBZ diesel.  I have found 
a rusty 65K documented miles 76 MANUAL tranny 240D and am wonderring if the 
engine would produce enough power for the truck.  Here are the HP and torque 
specs for the original engine to compare.  78HP @3200RPM and 177LB-FT @ 
1200RPM.

How does the 240D engine compare to that?  What MBZ diesel engine compares 
the best?
