Basically you have to look at total cost of ownership of the solar array, EV 
charging apparatus, and the EV itself compared to the total cost of ownership 
of the vehicle the EV is replacing.


I have always wondered how the panels get attached to your roof without damaging the roof and how much more it will cost when you need to replace the roof and the panels have to be removed and re-installed. I guess if you are old enough, it will be someone else's problem. A roof should last 25 years. Maybe the panels won't last that long.
