Thanks Jim, that explains the one time occurrence I experienced last
week when it was 123 degrees and lots of shutoff and start errands.

Happened just that one time and been working great ever since.

The usual cause of that is that the AC is on at start and the engine
compartment has gotten a good heat soak, causing a high pressure in
the AC system.  It usually shuts off pretty soon as things stabilize.
The aux fan is _not_ normally on all the time the AC is on, by
design, and I'd agree with this.  Because the AC compressor is on
such a large percentage of the time, unless "EC" is selected, the
aux fan would run too much.  It's not rated for continuous duty,
in that it'd wear out pretty quickly if it were on all the time.
So it's wired to only come on when needed.
