at 230k miles, the heads were more than ready to be done if not yet done.

if i really liked the car, i'd do the heads and just consider it routine
maintanence at this point. if i didn't like the car, i'd use it as an
excuse to get another one.

Today I went and changed the oil on my 420SEL. After oil change, I cranked
up the car and it ran for about 5-6 seconds. Then it would not start. Then
it would not turn over, locked up. Well after some investigation and
removing valve covers, I found that the timing chain guide broke and well
it
now needs new valves. Since the car has 230k miles I am debating if it is
worth the time to do a head job or not.
