Hi Dave,
*Somewhere* there's a reference book with the size of those bushings used in that Garrett Turbo - the trick is to find it. ;-) Does it look like it can be pressed out? Or does it need some engineered coaxing? (BFH)

Of course, if it's not too damaged a machine ship could make a copy of it - shouldn;t cost too much - assuming you can't find one on a shelf.

I'll let you kow if I find anything about that Turbo - it's good to hear you're the kind who likes to fix things - rather than throwing money at a problem -

The Mercedes WIS program says it's a Garrett TB03. The compressor
housing is labeled "Air Research 42". From what I can tell, there are
a lot of different models of TB03's.
This one has the compressor bearing pressed into the aluminum plate
that supports the housing. Does not look like it is made to come apart
again easily.

Hi Dave,
I kinda figured -- but I was thinking the manufacturer of the Turbo
would sell the parts or rebuild yours/sell you a rebuilt Turbo - MB does not
make the Turbos, I'm 99% certain as MB makes *very* few parts, except for
possibly the block - as they mostly assemble cars.. It's either KKK or
possibly Garrett which was renamed Honeywell Turbo Technologies in the mid
90s.

Rusty can probably tell you exactly who makes the MB turbos - or he can
probably get a Turbo rebuild kit for you. I'll see if I can find the
manufacturer in my info -

Good luck -
