I hear ya on the variables regarding quality of fuel.
I would think, though, that the mixing issue would be sort of moot, as it seems to me that the fuel will get pretty well mixed up in there as you drove, and as the fuel gets added to the tank. I think that's one of those things you'd want to try in a separate container first. My thoughts are that it's going to depend on how well it's mixed. (did you just dump in two gallons of B100 after an almost full tank of diesel? Or did you mix everything to gether well first and then dump it in the tank?)
