My daughter and son-in-law are headed for the USCG station in Valdez, Alaska.  
Anyone been stationed there?  He just made Chief and will be in charge of 
housing maintance and also continue to work on the boats [but not go out in 
them any longer].

Yep.  My 200D 2.4, being a vacuum shutoff engine inside a cable shutdown
car, has a vacuum toggle switch hidden under the dash to shut down the
engine.   This makes the car virtually impossible for a common thief to
steal.  It too will run until the vacuum builds after a couple of
revolutions, then shuts down.  Pretty cool
