you can 'chip' the DT466 to get more power. The tractor pullers get lots of hp out of the ag version. i don't know what the most hp record is for the engine. It is probably in the high hundreds.

DT 466 was designed in the famed IH design facility in Germany and is
not only used in trucks, but also such IH tractors as the 1066
through 1486, and they run forever.  Many farmers still use these
tractors rather than buying new, because the engine has not been
available in new tractors since the demise of IHC.
