Now, are manufacturer's warranties transferrable through multiple owners? Or does that vary? I've heard of several fixes needed on these cars and all of them I've heard have been covered by warranty.

My neighbors accross the lane have one of that approximate vintage. I know only a couple of things about it. They had the turbo replaced under warranty. It does not produce much heat in winter. They had an aftermarket heated seat setup installed to help. They like it.
