I'd make sure the motor mounts and tranny mounts are in good shape (as others have already suggested). I would also suggest loosening a nut on each injection line one at a time to see the change in idle on each cylinder. If one cylinder decreases the idle less than the others that cylinder has something wrong with it and you can narrow it down from there. If they are all about the same then you can start to look elsewhere. Has anyone been fooling around with your injection pump? Do you use WVO or SVO? A possibility is the rack damper bolt on the back of the IP, but, if it was mis-adjusted or worn out, I think you would see the engine visibly rock (its been like that when I've adjusted mine). I had a problem on my '79 W116 300SD that caused the entire front end to shake when it was in reverse (you could literally see the front left wheel shake). It also had a low frequency noise that came from "everywhere" (ie, it didn't come from a single direction). It turned out that there was a different engine, with a different upper oil pan that was hitting the front sub-frame. This shouldn't be the case with your car though :) John _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
