jeeze; i didn't say you had made things up, i said you *didn't* have
to! you seem a little 'touchy'; there's no need to jump so quickly to a
defensive attitude!
must i remind you that you started this thread with an example of a
"guarantee" you made without any direct experience of what you were
guaranteeing, and then extended it with examples of your competitive
tendencies (under the premise of being your idea of a "masculist")? i
apologize for my mistake in thinking that since you had started out by
poking fun at yourself that we might be able to join you; you obviously
missed the humor, and i promise to try to remember in the future not to
do it again. (were i the type to have been trying to get a rise out of
you, it wouldn't have been any fun at all; it's apparently no challenge
whatsoever!)
so, take a deep breath, relax, read what i wrote again while paying
attention this time... and maybe you'll be able to take note of the
smilie that was intended to indicate a tone of good humor.
the examples you presented of why anyone would *need* brake lights
without a key seem like 'reaches' that don't merit our debating (so i
don't feel any need to go there), and do nothing to deter the position
that the reason most vehicles that don't have switched brake lights is
probably just that it's easier/cheaper to make them that way. (as an
aside, i *do* wonder how long MBZ has been doing it this way,...)
we can agree that examples like the sticky brake pedal (or brake
light switch, etc.) are (IMHO, better) reasons why they *should* be
switched, and let it go from there.
