Wayer does not have the lubricating properties of oil, even 0 weight
oil.

As long as it provides the correct oil wedge on the bearing surface and
the film strength is strong enough to protect the metals it will work
fine. But how will you know? Mercedes already knows - follow their
recommendations.

All the cars in your sig have OM617 engines. If you want to use oil that
much thinner than MBZ recommended, water is even thinner and much
cheaper,
although water's pourability at low temperatures is not as good as
Mobil One 0W30.

Mitch.
