..and probably has enough TBN to go 25,000 miles on higher sulphur
fuel. Diesel truck oil is overkill, but then again, some people
would say synthetic oil is overkill. If you are going to pay $4 a
quart, may as well get the best, and that's 5W40 diesel oil. 
Look for the CI-4 rating (or has that been superceded now?)

I wonder how long it would take to deplete the buffering agents
in 15W50 with an OM617 running ULSD fuel? I bet you could go
at least 15k on that stuff with good piston rings.
