Nearly all of our mail carriers are contractors, and they drive a wide range of vehicles. For example:
Jeep (regular) USPS auction mail carrier Jeep (the little white square things) RHD Subaru wagon (yes, you can buy them here) F150 Ford pickup I have to elaborate on the old Ford pickup - it's an aging F150 that's a real rustbucket, driven by a Hispanic woman who is very nice. It has an ingenious dual steering wheel setup with a "dummy" steering wheel on the right side that is coupled to the "real" steering wheel by a series of sprockets and chains, like a bicycle would use. A real marvel of backyard engineering, IMHO. I haven't seen what sort of pedal arrangement it has, mainly because the last time I saw her I was so amazed by the steering wheel setup I was engrossed with it and didn't bother looking at anything else.
