You forgot EGR that clogs or sticks open and can't be disabled "by
hand" because the engine computer will detect it and cut turbo boost.
The only advantage of the '86-'87 603 cars (besides the obvious extra
cylinder's worth of power) is that they are less electronic and thus
more easily hotrodded w/ EGR delete, intercoolers, water injection,
etc.

Somebody w/ embedded systems savvy needs to come up with a hack to
mimic the signal from a working EGR, or disassemble the code in
question and burn a new ECU that doesn't do the EGR test, or something
like that.  Same for the 606 engine too.  Jim?  ;)
