Exactly! Sell me a set of plates that can be moved from car to car and I will keep enough different ones around so that I can haul stuff when needed and get good economy when I don't have to be utilitarian. Paying the insurance on each makes me keep fewer vehicles on the road but makes me drive the Supercrew a lot of the time when I don't need a vehicle that big. I drive it the couple of miles from home to the office and back twice each day because it is my winter vehicle. If I could have another smaller one too, I probably would but I am not going to pay another licence and insurance. In winter we have 3 on the go full time and in summer, usually 5.

Fortunately I can get them registered without insurance, and we roll the insurance around on our working set, but it takes doing. It's not compulsory (yet) at vehicle licensing time.
