I am at the point of either painting and derusting my '83 wagon with 282 K miles, or selling fit or a pittance and buying another one of a similar vintage that doesn't need body work. Neither option is particularly palatable but I have always felt this is the BEST Mercedes model of all time, so am reluctant to drive anything else on a daily basis.
