Yeah Ed's obviously never had a wagon before...
I kept my 300TD way longer than was prudent and dumped way more money in it 
than I should have 
strictly because when it was all working right it was a delightful car to drive.

At some point the missus and I are going to take a cross country road trip and 
a 300TD is way high on the list of vehicles I want to use.
Put a small teardrop trailer behind it to sleep in and we'll be largely self 
sufficient.

Perhaps instead of laughing you might like to remember that the wagons 
all had SLS, which is a system designed so that at full load the
 vehicle 
still handles like it should and not drag it's behind along the ground.
