Randy asked <<who knows the true cost of all that>>

I guarantee the people who are in the business know exactly what that cost
is.

BTW, the oil in Saudi (probably in other Mid east countries also - the oil
doesn't have to be pumped out of the ground - it comes out of the ground
under enough pressure to get it all the way to the ports where is shipped
via super tanker.

At night in the desert the horizon is always alight with the glow of natural
gas being burned off as it comes out with the gas - the 2 are always found
together and the gas is uch harder to transport than liquid oil. It (the
gas) is typically cooled until it become a gel (IIRC) where it can be pumped
thru pipelines onto ships with special spherical tanks.

You know? the more I think about it the madder I get thinking about congress
giving the oil execs a hard time for doing their jobs! Sure they have
record profits! that's what they *should * aspire to do - after all,
thousands of people from suppliers to shareholders to employees *depend* on
these countries to do! Whenever the gov gets involved in ptivate business
they screw it up! All I want the gov to do is make sure there is no
collusion among companies - other than that it;s hands off.. when our
socialist candidate all talk about managing big oil profits I see nothing
but problems. we need a leader to create a energy plan that means something
& might actually work - build refineries, build nuke power plants, explore
& drill for oil in anwar & off all coasts, etc.

but no, we hear about the fed making big oil give back some profits (I'd
like to hear what stockholders think about that - esp the ones who depend on
dividends to live), etc--

bye -- I know - 'bout time -
