So you would just leave the feature disabled then.  I would be more than
happy to let it update manually, anything the virus checker dosn't spot on
the fly during the update, it wont spot on a file scan either so that isn't
a problem.  And for those people out there who don't use one, well they wont
find virii whatever method is used for update.

So make it a self extractor, where is the problem in that?  In fact if it is
going to self extract you could compress with rar instead of zip and
increase the compression a bit.
