Hi all,
One of the biggest obstacles to our company is the fact that Smartcam
cannot translate Autocad drawings above R12 reliably, if at all. Our
designers want to move away from saving our drawings as R12 because our
archive drawings are now all saved as Autocad 2000. Obviously, it is not
healthy to have multiple copies of the same drawings floating around.
There is an "open dwg alliance" in existence that has developed an
open dwg toolkit. This toolkit is reported to be able to translate even
Autocad 2000 drawings. I was wondering if any of you have tried making use
of this toolkit to help keep Smartcam cooking.
