Chris:

When you save an existing 2000 dwg as an R13 dwg you should not end up with
2 copies of the same dwg as long as you do not change the file name. When
you exit Acad, a message will alert you that the dwg was last saved in R13
format and will ask you if you wish to save in 2000 format.

Try saving them as R12 or R13 dxfs. You will then have duplicate copies
however with different file extensions. You can then easily delete all dxf's
at regular intervals.

Eventually, Autocad will get to the point in future releases where it will
not be possible to save in R12 or R13 format anymore so Smartcam will be
useless if an import is required. An alternative method will be necessary,
such as the "toolkit" you mentioned. How did you find out about this and
where can we get info?

Pete
