I'm unsure if this is related but we had the same problem with some files some time ago, so it MAY not be OS related but a Version problem. We were able to open the files in Version 10, save the file, then open the file back up in Version 11 again! If you have that version CD around still you might try it out. We had installed version 10 in another folder so we could access them as needed. I don't have that setup anymore or I could open the file and save it for you!
