If not defective RAM perhaps a hot CPU? Can you underclock it? Does it always 
fail in exactly the same place? Try copying the CD to a thumb drive and using 
that as your install media? I know it may not seem to make sense but it doesn't 
take much time and certainly couldn't hurt.
