This is what always amuses me about segments of the Linux community... it's all about "sharing" and "freedom" until the people you share with decide to use what you shared with them in a manner not of your liking, at which point those folks are branded as various and sundry ugly words. Freedom means the ability to use that free software in a locked-down manner, just as much as it does the ability to use it in an open manner. They've got every right to do it, and if you don't want them to be able to do so, then feel free to try and get Linux, et al, licensed under a more restrictive license, one with all sorts of anti-DRM nonsense, promises of open-access, etc., etc., but don't expect a lot of adoption afterwards. :-) D _______________________________________________ Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users Group http://mhvlug.org http://mhvlug.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mhvlug Upcoming Meetings (6pm - 8pm) MHVLS Auditorium Feb 2 - Zimbra Mar 2 - MHVLUG 8th Anniversary - Show and Tell Apr 6 - Introduction to IPv6
