It would run on Linux too, assuming you have WINE installed. The best advice is to scrutinize emails that contain attachments, especially if they're executable -- and the best way to scrutinize email is to learn how to read email headers. This is something that can typically be of daily use. Also especially useful is learning how to use 'whois' on raw IP addresses to see that the original sender of email wasn't in the vicinity that the sender should have been. Remember that the "Received:" lines in email headers are in /reverse/ order; the last "Received:" line is actually the first one. -- Chris -- Chris Knadle [email protected] > -----Original Message----- > Reply-to: [email protected] > To: mhvlug <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [mhvlug] email attachment warning number two > Date: Tue, 18 Jan 2011 13:13:27 -0500 (EST) > > Which is why on my dualboot, there is both a windoze av and a linux av > package. > > Only the ntfs partition is accessible to both sides. > > :) > > On Tue, 18 Jan 2011, [email protected] wrote: > > If you are dual booting Linux and Windows, you might have more problems > > than anybody because your Windows anti-virus software might not be > > scanning your Linux partition.
