The Incredible-2 is also $150 cheaper if you have to purchase it outright. And it appears to be a damn nice phone. I think you could probably improve still further if you chose a device with a smaller display, etc. I am in the process of looking over power-saving issues, but there is no doubt about it - these things just don't last like a simple "Just A Phone" (JAP??? Oh crap!) would do. Lately though, I find that using the "phone" portion of the device is probably about 5% of what I use it for. And I swore I would NEVER do that! It grows on you, it really does. I can't really imagine what I would be able to do with this thing if I really knew what I was doing. I agree with Sean though - if I could get a simple phone that I could tether to something like this device (maybe in tablet format), then that might be "better" - but I have lately decided that carrying less equipment around with me is a good thing. I like having it all. I use device on the way in to work with Google Maps showing me traffic while running WAMC to the car audio system, occasionally switching WeatherBug if the weather is iffy and displaying a full-screen moving weather map - pretty much all at the same time. It is just what I dreamed I would like to have years ago - it really is. Jack C -- Eschew obfuscation and pompous prolixity. Light a man a fire, he is warm for the night.
