Hey all, I was wondering if I can get some view points on what value people put on IT certification? I am toying with idea of doing so. I mainly want to get involved with working with cisco/juniper but I have no practical hands on experience beside some home routers and switches that I am piecing together. Is anyone in the group certified? I mainly want to get certified to use as a learning tool and show that I am competent in these technologies. how else am I suppose to prove to people/collegues/future employers that I have such knowledge with these technologies?
I do have about 5 years of experience mostly with linux/desktp/network support stuff. Any feedback and criticisms will be helpful Thanks -David Battaglia
