I believe the timeout setting is in the registry. I noticed that
during one of my successful sessions connecting to NT, that I was prompted
on the NT side to disconnect after 20 minutes. Setting it to -1 disables
disconnect from the server.
I have no experience or need with Win 95 dialup server, but some of the
design is similar to NT, I believe.
BTW, why are you using SLIP rather than PPP, and why are you setting it to
open a terminal window? The Win 95 dialup server supports PPP.
After I purchase some interface adapters to connect to some switchboxes, I
will publish more details on my successes and failures. It does appear,
though, that for whatever reason, the information that is transmitted to
the Win NT machine is not what Win NT is expecting to see, and so the auto
answer rejects it.
