Yesterday I was browsing www.jschoenfeld.com (Individual Computers in
Germany, makers of the X-Surf Ethernet board) and noticed interesting news
from Jan 24, 2001: Jens has received a stock of registered MiamiDx
packages to be bundled with the X-Surf. If we want to continue speculating
about Holger based on such signs, this clearly means that he's alive and
still wants to make money from MiamiDx. If he were like me, beiing short
on time he would give priority to development and, as we see here, getting
the product to the market rather than answering email. Excuse him if he
does it only for the money (if that was going to be anyone's objection).
I didn't try to contact him at REBOL (not that I didn't have good reasons,
if anyone remembers the odissey with my ADSL service) and I didn't see a
quote of an actual answer he's given to those wo did, so I don't know
exactly how upset he is on this matter, but common sense would suggest
that if he didn't publish his REBOL address on the Nordic Global pages he
doesn't want related mail there, period. One obvious reason is that one
wouldn't like to waste time forwarding mails related to the other job when
he does already have separate email addresses exactly for that purpose.
