I wasn't thinking so much about knowing about his past, but probably
preferring his first loyalty being to them. It's also the sort of thing
that makes a company concerned about internal security. In general.

On principle, I feel the same way as you. I was referring to actual
obligations, rather than moral ones. If there's something wrong with
something I bought, I expect some redress about it.

However access to pick someone's brains on other technicalities isn't
something I expect, however much I'd value it.

I'd point out that because an extra service used to be available, doesn't
mean it always will.

I don't know about that. I've made enquiries about that sort of thing,
for myself, before. And for me to offer electronic fund payment services,
I'd be looking at paying some company $30 a month, or more (some won't
even touch you, unless you have a substantial turnover). I know that
payment by cheque can be quite expensive in some places, particularly
where currency conversions have to take place.

Depending on who's point of view (Holgers, other people, whatever), some
consider Miami to certainly be of a saleable condition. Remembering that
no software is perfect, but Miami does seem to be better than a lot of
things I've used.

I find it curious too. Then again, maybe he did, but it failed to arrive,
and he never noticed. There could be a plethora of reasons why. Though,
I suppose the message's more believable on his own web site.

I found it once, the last time I looked, I couldn't, today I have. If you
go to the web site, go to the news section (there's a link at the bottom
of the opening page), and there's a link in the Sept 1st, 2000 news, about
technical problems. Here's the direct link.

You could probably say that about anything. At least we've got a fairly
reliable product to use, at the moment.

I would guess two things: Either he's had enough, or is undecided.
Perhaps no news /is/ good news.
