Hello,
I am trying to get an older modem (SupraFax V.32bis) working on my
backup system. I deleted the Miami default file and ran Miami.init.
Everything went good and I started Miami, loaded in the init file and
got online without a problem. But next time I turned the computer
on, I got a message that said, in part, "PPP warning. Link appears to
be looped back." I have found that if I start MiamiInit and go just to
the point where it resets the modem, stop it and start Miami, I can
connect. Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on? I thought
maybe the init string was incorrect but it is the one from MiamiInit
and that works.
