   Forgive my seeming ignorance and naivete, but, does it really
matter which serial.device is faster?  Would the difference in
speed really make a truly difference in the overall operation? 

   Lastly, I believe you are putting the cart before the horse. 
I believe before you should concern yourself with which device
driver is faster, you should first determine if they both work
properly with you Amiga configuration, you setup with your ISP,
and which device driver works best with Miami.

   I found that the device driver artser.device worked best for
my setup et al.  Artser.device may or may not be faster that the
built-in serial.device of Miami, but it allows Miami and every-
thing to run flawlessly.

   Again, I am just wondering.
