Well, we have the Track Dog set up that way. Just run a line from the
tank to the Pierburg - although you might have to take it from the
bottom of the tank. Or just put a good factory pump in there.

If I want more fuel pressure or flow out of one of my own cars, I'll be
adding a Pierburg to the factory pump and staying away from aftermarket
in-tank pumps. That's my own personal opinion and not that of my
employer, who has pointed out to me that he has Walbros on two of his
own cars :)

I have what I think is a bad pump in Janice's car. I also have
a Pierburg on the car. How do you use the Pierburg external pump
without a working in tank pump??

My comments on Walbro failures are not based on personal
experience, but from speaking to Miata owners on the tech line every
day. They have a failure rate high enough that it doesn't surprise me
any more when I hear of one. I've also heard of multiple failures for
the same individual.

Pierburgs, on the other hand, are pretty much bombproof.

Unfortunate experiences you've had. My Walbro has been
fine since adding it back in, oh...whenever it was that I upgraded to FM
II. When was that... 2002 or 2003 or so?
