smart ass! The old audi does have 253K on it, still runs like a champ even with a few oil leaks. I need to dump that thing, would help pay for the wedding in, wow, 18 days. Anybody need a solid quattro wagon for a quick grand? AC needs recharged and the heat doesn't work for some reason. I've put about $3K in it the past couple years.
For some power content, we had my bachelor party this weekend. The "Man-kend". We went over to Indiana to race karts on the outdoor kart track, then came back to my house and donned our bowling shirts and drank white russians and watched "The Big Lebowski". Oh yea, all while sitting on three of my motorcycles we moved into the living room in front of the TV (yes, she has her own house). Sunday was MidOhio for the Indy cars. Man shit all weekend. I'm hurting today. Thanks to my best man Donni and fellow inducted miata guy for putting it all together, a good time! Audi, the redhead of cars. You love them one day and hate them the next. Talk about built in sales. Of course they ship the old ones out to SE Asia and such and don't destroy them. In true govt. fashion, the years before and after my '97 audi a6 qualify for the program but mine doesn't (even tho the year previous is the exact same chassis and engine). I'm not sure what happens with the engine as it's removed before the car is scrapped. In theory, the return is to the environment, so that while your children will be paying for this, at least they'll have a fraction less CO2 in the air making things hot. There are plenty of things that the government spends our money on that we get little to no return on at an individual level (like, for instance, my house has never burnt down, so why should I pay for the fire department?), but it's been deemed useful at a societal level.
