Um, oil won't get on the electrodes from a bad vc gasket. It might short the wire end. Oil would get on the electrodes *after* you pull them, as it runs down as you pull the plug out if you have a puddle in there from the vc.

I read that you pulled the wires, but not that you actually removed the plugs to see if oil had gotten on the plugs electrodes inside the combustion chamber , which, as you know, happens when the cam cover leaks at the plug wells.
