All Gawker media blogs have support both a threaded comments view and a chronological comments view. When in chronological order, the @user reply text is linked to the comment being replied-to. When in threaded view the @user text is still linked to the 'replied-to' comment, but the replies are nested under the comment to which they reply. In this manner, both in threaded and chronological views, the replies contain links (usernames) to the original comment. This is true for all of Gawker media blogs which include (but is not limited to) Gawker, Defamer, Jezebel, Gizmodo, Jalopnik, Kotaku, Deadspin, Valleywag, Lifehacker, Consumerist, and io9.
