Dear microhydro yahoo group manager:

It appears that the below message is a common problem for this group:
newcomers or information-seekers are not aware of what basic data is
required for other members to give a helpful response. We see a large
percentage of email communications wasted on this "dark room" phenomenon.

Proposed solution: Is there a way to include a MINIMAL "signature" message
in every [email protected] email which lists the basic data
required on microhydro set-up inquiries? (example signature message: "For
group members to provide the most efficient response, please include desired
power output, head, x, y, z, etc... in all initial inquiries on setting up a
microhydro project")

If that's not possible, this is a humble request for the more active
teachers in this group to make their own similar email signature. Just a
thought - and i'm also curious to know the list of "basic data" headings.

Peter
